Had Kate's check up with her cardiologist today. Got great news that her repair on her aorta valve is doing great, and that it is growing with the rest of her heart. Her heart is growing because she is growing, so the more she continues to grow, the more reassurance we get that she is doing what she is supposed to be doing. Her left ventricle is not appearing on the small side anymore, and it is looking to be "normal" sized. GREAT NEWS! He said that he wants to see her again next year, (a whole year from now, that seems sooo long!) and then again when she is 3. Once she passes those visits, she gets walking papers and won't have to go back as much..even though in my opinion, a yearly visit is so minute..She will probably go for life, it will just be spread out more. I am so relieved, obviously. I mean, I had to know she would do good because she is so dang healthy..she is growing, and doing what she is supposed to..so all is good. I asked about her chances of having a baby with a CHD, and he said her chances are double that she could have a baby that has a CHD that needs surgery. :/ That I knew, but was hoping he would say, nah...but he did assure me that there are so many forms of CHD that don't need to be operated on..so we will just have to keep watching her, and inform her. I had a little cry on the way home as I absorbed everthing we talked about. She is just such a happy girl, and loves to meet new people and makes friends with other babies that she sees..Thank you Jesus! We are so very blessed she is with us, and she is soooo healthy.
More good news to report is that my very dear friend Sadie is pregnant! She found out a couple of weeks ago. I am so very happy for her. She is going to have a new baby when her little lady, Madi is 18 months old. Wheeeee! She is in for a ride! LOL! I am just so happy for her and her hubby. After losing her daughter Makenzi, her and her husband never thought they could conceive again as they thought it would be too painful. Well, Madi has brought them so much happiness that they were able to say they wanted to go on the ride again. Bless them! I love my dear friend so much, and wish her nothing but happiness!
I love these make you feel good posts...see I am not always a whiner. :)
