Well, Thursday was a slow start of a day. We wanted to be up and at em at 6 am, but I don't think any of us rose until after 8:30. I didn't want to move one bone at all, and truth be told, I wasn't really feeling well at all. I wanted to just have the room to myself, and meet up with everyone later. Mike convinced me to get ready and come along, and he dropped off half of us at the park, then came back and got Kate and myself. I should mention that during this entire trip, the only times we have hung out with his side of the family is during the Pirate dinner, and we have passed each other at Disney. We are a "house" away from them in our hotel, and we only see them during breakfast time here as they have their plans already set, and we just see them as they pass us. Pretty weird if you ask me. I don't know why there was such a HUGE deal about them staying in the same hotel as us, and having such similar things as us, but to each their own. Having a party of 12 with us at all times could get frustrating.
Mike came back and got me, and I never really felt well all day. I think it was just too much lack of sleep, plus being dehydrated..it is HOT here! Not good for this Oregon girl.
When we left Disney for some lunch at Downtown Disney, the walk was HOT. I was sweating bullets by the time we got to Rainforest Cafe. I downed a couple glasses of water, and still was having a hard time cooling off. We ate, had a great time, visited the shop, (got some tee shirts for us) then walked back to California Adventure. Once we got in, I was done. Over. Not having it. I think I had some form of heat exhaustion. I needed to be cooled down, and fast. I went into the bathroom, and got wetted down, then ended up falling asleep on Mike's lap in the shade, on a bench. Who falls asleep on a bench at Disney? I guess there is a first for everything.
Once I got up, and the sun started to go down..(around 6pm) I felt better. We left California Adventure, and headed to Disney to ride Peter Pan's Flight. The last time we had rode it (on our last visit for our honeymoon) it broke down on us. I really wanted Matt to see it, and Kate is allowed to ride it, so we wanted to end the night on a good note. The line for the ride was about 30 minutes, and the ride itself lasted about a minute. Matthew was sooo miffed that it was already over, and if he only knew how we felt. LOL! But, you do it for the memories, right?
We headed back to the room for cocktails, and I went to put Kate to bed, only to fall asleep with her, in my full on clothes I had worn all darn day long. I woke at 6:30 this morning with a huge WTH on my mind. I had last remembered just saying to her, "It's time to go night-night" and here I was, pants, two tops, bra and everything. I guess everyone thought I wanted to sleep this way. I was so out of it this morning!
I will try to post about Friday in the morning. It is 3:23 am and I am way past my bedtime now. Hasta!
