Ala Bakerella of course.
This time, I wanted to make Valentine's themed ones for Matthew's daycare, and for Mike's work. I LOVE the way they turned out. So much so, that I am going to make another batch as these are going to get eaten very fast.
Instead of the red velvet flavor, we went with cherry chip flavor, and might I say how incredibly yummy they are. It doesn't even taste like cake. It tastes like the inside of a chocolate..with a mild cherry flavor. The texture is soft, not gooey like last time. (I used way too much frosting!) This time, I used one small can of cream cheese frosting, then made them into little balls, stuck the sticks in, and then froze them before I dipped them.
Last time, I inserted the sticks in after I froze them, and had a lot of sliding stick problems. This time, it worked like a charm. I found this awesome set of sprinkles at Walmart for 10.00. Inside, there were 2 different colored sugar sprinkles, then a mixture of hearts, and then the sprinkle beads. I got a bag of conversation hearts to add to the tops of some, and then melted red candy melts and put into a squeeze bottle for the other decoration. I love me some Bakerella!
