Mmmm

Tonight I made these cookie-brownies that Bakerella made from Betty's Website, and boy, were they delish!

I didn't have any chocolate frosting to frost them with, and truthfully, the thought of chocolate frosting on top of something already so sweet just hurt my teeth thinking about it. I wanted to make the ganache that Bakerella talked about topping hers with, but I didn't have any heavy whipping cream on hand, so instead, I used milk. What I did was melted 6 tbl butter into 3/4 cup of milk till almost boiling, then added a bag of semi-sweet chips to the warm milk-butter mixture, stirred till smooth, and just used it as a chocolate sauce. There was going to be no way it would be able to set with just 1% milk as the base, so making it into a sauce was much nicer.

Mike brought some vanilla bean ice cream home from work, and we assembled the cookie-brownies like so, and viola! Dessert! This was so easy to make it wasn't even funny.
