Whew! It went fast!

The four day weekend that is. We had such a blast hanging out with family, even if it was just my mom and sister. Just the best time being together with one another. We had the best dinner, and it was ready to eat by 3pm. That left nearly the rest of the evening to relax, read all of the ads and watch our movie.

I nearly had a conniption fit when I couldn't find the Griswold movie on Wednesday night. I had this whole house torn apart searching for it, and it wasn't until Mike got home that he finally found it for me. Thank goodness! I was ready to go out at midnight and go buy it again..but we didn't have to.

We stayed up until about 2am on Thanksgiving night reading the ads, and making our game plan of what stores we would need to hit in the morning for all of the Black Friday sales, and we were out of the house and out of the driveway at 555 am. It was pretty impressive, but it was sooo not worth it by 8pm that night when we were all so tired and worn out. Matthew was a trooper and did so well with having to be up so early and he didn't have any meltdowns at all.

Overall I was pretty impressed with everyone else that was also out shopping. Not once did we encounter a rude person in line..or even in the stores. All of the sales people were on target and they were very nice.

My mom had to leave early Thanksgiving day due to coming down with a sudden cold that was getting worse by the minute. It seems when the colds hit our family, they just happen so fast that we are fine one minute, and the next minute our voice is gone and we are going through tissues left and right. She feels better now, but the unfortunate thing is Katelynn seems to have got the same thing now. Poor little love bug. She has been sneezing out such yucky sneezes all night long and has felt miserable all day today. She has no fever though, thank goodness! I just keep snuggling her and we pretty much laid down all day today so that she could get some much needed rest. Hopefully like the last little cold she picked up, she will get over it soon, and will be better by next weekend. She is still smiling lots, so that is a good thing.
I can't believe we are in December already. I just can't get over how fast everything is happening now! I am going to post some pics of our decorations if not tonight, then in the next day or two.
