How come?

Days with kids have to be so much harder than others? I purposely put Matthew to bed a bit early last night since he was acting extra tired. He had been great the day before, but when I went and got him last night, he was grumpy and tired and just not wanting to listen.
So I put him to bed early, he woke up the same time as normal, and then refused to listen to both of us this morning as we were trying to get him ready for school. I guess that is probably normal..but getting him to brush his teeth was like torture for him, getting him dressed was a disaster, and then trying to get him to use the bathroom was torture as well. I guess he had a #2 accident at daycare the other day and he knows he is supposed to go in the potty. He hasn't done that kinda thing at home in a long time. She said she didn't mind cleaning him up, but I don't want him thinking he is all of a sudden allowed to use his pants for that. I don't like taking steps back! Ack..only forward please!

So today is the day I will get the other dresser for Kate put together, put the rest of her things away and get Mike's crap (oops, did I say that?) out of there and put an off limits sign on the door. I am so tired of him thinking he can sneak things in there to store in there. Big no-no!!

My sister in law and mother in law came by last night and brought over all of the gifts for the baby shower to give people that win games, or door prize drawings. Everything should be fun! I am really looking forward to it now. I have had a few people already say they are coming, so I think so far we have 10 people total. Even if that is all that are coming, that is still a great crowd!

I think we are going to do cupcakes instead of a traditional cake. Mike was saying he could make the cake, but I don't want to go through all of that work, especially since we could just pop the cupcakes in the oven, frost them and then put them on the cupcake stand. Sounds good to me!
Alright, I got to get the fire lighted under this rear and get things done. I was so lazy yesterday!
