We go to the children's hospital in the morning. Ugh...I am nervous as heck! The good thing is we leave in the morning, vs in the afternoon where we would have to wait to go.
I'm figuring it is going to be a long appointment so I am about to head off to bed soon so that I am fully rested and will have a clear head to ask as many questions as possible.
My mom and sister came over for dinner tonight and as they were getting ready to leave, Matthew says to my mom, "Thank you for coming, Nana." I am so amazed at how polite my child can be. All it takes is a few times of me asking him to tell people this as they are leaving, and he remembers and does it so perfectly. It just melts my heart with how well his vocabulary has expanded.
He was also telling my mom that he needed to go to bed before Daddy gets home from work, since Daddy works late. My mom looked at me and said she was so proud of how well he is talking, and how nice it is to have back and forth conversations with him.
I admit it is so nice to have him talking so well..but it also makes me sad because soon he will be off to school, and then it all goes so fast after that. I just want to go back one year and relive my last year with him..more snuggles, more loves.. I am so smitten with him, and wish he just knew how much! I want him to know that Mommy isn't always about raising her voice, or making sure he is doing what he is supposed to.
Anyways..enough sappy stuff from me.
I am ready to head off to bed. Will update more after I get home tomorrow.
