Happy Father's Day Daddy! We had such a great day today. Matthew gave Daddy his present that we went and bought the other day, and it was such a great hit with Mike. He absolutely loved it! Matthew was quite proud of himself this morning, giving Mike his present.
Later we had a BBQ and had my mom and sister over, Mike's mom and Dylan, and then his sister joined us after she got off work. The weather was just beautiful! We all got a ton of sun. Matthew unfortunately got a bit of sun on his scalp. I completely forgot to add the sunscreen there. Hopefully by tomorrow, it will be all better. It isn't even pink, it just itches he said. So we will see. I felt terrible..but he was having so much fun and playing good. I just forgot to add the sunscreen in his hair like I normally do.
We put together the little tent deal we got Matthew for his birthday and the boys had a blast as usual, playing in there together. The only downside is the tent itself. It is supposed to say "Drive Thru" on the side, and they printed "Drive Thur" instead. (scratches head) I now know why it was on clearance! LOL! Oh well..it is still so dang cute. And Matthew really thinks he is cooking inside!
Matthew helping daddy blow out his Father's Day cake. No, we don't normally put candles on a cake for Father's Day..but Matthew was all confused seeing the cake and wondering where the candles were. He was convinced that it must have candles. So we gave Mike 3 candles..one for each year he has been a dad. And we also sang Happy Father's Day to him..in the tone of the birthday song..just with different words..lol! Matthew LOVES the birthday song for some reason and just loves to blow out the candles. I think we started a new tradition this year! Mike has a birthday on the 25th, so he will get to sing to daddy again, and help daddy blow out his candles again. All 34 of them! LOL!
