Butte to Butte!

2 days and counting and I will be doing my first ever 10K! I am so scared, so excited, and nervous at the same time. I didn't move my arse all weekend long..how is that for poor training? I got into a mini rut. Don't worry, you won't hear me whining about not losing, I know I fail when I don't move..so I have amped it up and have been incorporating a new workout in the am. I have been hopping on the treadmill in the am, mostly since I have lost my at lunch walk at work. It's been in the 90's this week, and that makes for a miserable trek around the hossy in the thick of heat, so I need to find that workout somewhere, and even though I loathe waking at 5:30, I think I can make this a new thing. I hopped back on after work tonight, and only did it for 30 minutes, and I was done. I am toying with the thought of doing 3 "30" minute workouts in one day vs the hour and a half I had been doing previously. I am dead meat after an hour and a half, and even though I cover more ground, I feel better after the 30 minute workouts. I get a better energy burst, and I am hoping to "shock" my body yet once again into wondering what the hell I am doing to it.

Can't wait to be a part of such a great event in my town. 40 years of doing this race, and I get to finally participate! WOOT!

Since May 4th, I have officially lost a total of 12 inches all around-combined. An inch here, 2 there, 3 there...it's all starting to add up now. Weight staying at a stand-still again, but that appears to be my normal.

Not ashamed to say it, but I bought a dress this past weekend. It is a 12. It is one of those maxi styles with straps, and yes, it is cut big..who am I kidding, I know I ain't a regular 12, but the damn dress fits. It fits! It isn't tight.it fits perfect. Almost nervous to be seen in it since I haven't worn a dress in a long time. I wear 14 pants still. No shame in that. Happy to be a size 14 pant.  Love being able to report progress. Progress is good. :)
