Matthew has been doing pretty great on his spelling tests at school. So far this year, he has got 100 percent on all but I think 2 tests. He is doing great. In his writing, he does need some more practice with mostly grammar words, but who doesn't? Heck, I do. He gets hard on himself when he asks me to proof read what he has wrote, and I point out some errors. I mean, I know there is a fine line of tearing a kid down..sometimes I let it go, other times I tell him it is really great, but this is how that is spelled. I forever worry if I am doing the right things with him. I hope so.
This has been our year of traveling. Can we afford it? Heck no! But we are making it work. I have been so lucky to take all of these last minute weekend trips, and it makes so many memories for the kids, and we have had fun. Mike is taking me to Eagle Crest for my birthday, and I can't tell you how EXCITED I am to go. It keeps going in waves..like I will be going along, and then boom! I remember I have a fabulous weekend trip coming up soon. I can't wait to post pictures of all of the snow. So long are the hotels, and we have strictly gone VRBO. I think it is the only way to travel anymore.
We plan on going sledding by day, and soaking in the hot tub at night, and the best perk is our doggies are going with us. We try to only go to places where they are allowed these days as I know they won't be around forever. I am so excited to go.
We are going to be moving our sleep clinic out of the hospital, into one of the specialty clinics outside of the hospital. Part of me is super confused about it, I don't know why we need to move our clinic, if the sleep overs are still taking place over there, but to each their own, I will embrace it, and a move is always fun, right? :)
Melatonin has become my super drug. It has helped me sleep so much better lately. I love it. It forces me to go to bed by my bedtime, instead of 11 or 12 at night, where I then suffer the next day. I am yawning like crazy now, so it must be time to go lights out. Night. :)
