Life is exciting!

I have been in such a positive mood today. :) It feels good to feel positive. I am happy to report that Todd has given birth to a very healthy little girl this afternoon! We went for pancakes, and when I came home, she had posted a photo of her lovely little lovelie. I am sooo over the moon happy for her. Her and her husband have done so well of taking care of her so that she would come more closer to full term, and she made it to 39 weeks, and 4 days. WOW!

Jenni is doing so well after her gastric bypass surgery. She is an inspiration to me. I miss her so much as she has since gone back to work, and even though we can email from work to eachother, I have been busier than normal this week, and haven't had the time I normally do to check in with her. She seems happier, and she has this great color, and just...hmm...a general happiness about her that is infectious. :)

Last week we went to my sweet little niece's first birthday party, and when it was time for her to smash her cake, my sister in law brought her out, and put her in her highchair wearing a new shirt. The shirt said, "I'm going to be a BIG sister!" WOW! Another new baby to come! I just can't get over it. The whole party erupted in cheers, and surprise, and the look on my mother in law's face was priceless, and one that I will NEVER forget.

I went and spent 3 hours getting my hair done today. Awww, that felt great. I always love spending that time to get pampered. My hair is REALLY blond again, and wow! I love it. I treated myself to some insanely ridiculous hair products later this afternoon, and I can't wait to use them.

Tonight we went shopping and stocked up the fridge with some amazing good food. We are all on a great food kick, and there is no reason to eat naughty. We have a lot of fresh, yummy food. I have been baking, and I have stocked up the freezer with healthy baked goods for the kids. It has been way to easy to throw boxed baked foods into the cart the last couple of months, and based on the sizes of those little kid tummies, it was time to scale back. Yes, that could be looked at as a harsh comment, but I don't want to let them fall into unhealthy eating since I wasn't wise enough to scale back. They are active kiddos, so I don't worry about their activity levels, but I don't want to just allow unhealthy snacking either.

Tomorrow we have yet another birthday party to go to! I can't wait as it is one of my best girlfriends'
daughter. She and Kate are very close in age, and it will be great to see them together as they moved to the beach earlier this past year, and we haven't been able to play catch up in some time. Hope everyone else is having a great weekend!
