I just found out that my sister is going to take our kids for us sometime in the VERY near future so we can go have a couple's getaway for the weekend. Oh, the possibilities are endless! We thought about hopping a plane to San Fran, but the cheap flights only return on Mondays, and that won't work. We thought about driving to Seattle, but we wanna save those 10 hours (total drive time) for some one on one site seeing, or having fun sticking our toes in the sand somewhere.
I think we will end up doing is getting a rental over at the beach. It will be cheaper than an overpriced boutique hotel, and we will have the WHOLE house to ourselves. Mike was talking last night about having a house call-massage where they bring the tables to us. Oooh that would be heavenly! I would love to do something like that. We have all been there..nothing is worse then getting dressed after a great massage, and then having to drive home. I could just have the relaxation continue on...
Off to plan our dream get away. We need this badly. The kids will miss us, I am sure. But Mommy and Daddy need to reconnect. :)
