Holy Moly!

It's been about 3 months since I have been on here! Time flies when you are having fun!

Less see...since Turkey Day's post I have changed positions in my company, welcomed a new baby to the family, and we have had a couple of health scares with the new doggy..all in all, it could stand to calm down here for a little bit. :)

My very favorite doctor has left our company. Sad, sad, sad. So now I took a 40/hr+ position within the company doing random things until a new doc comes aboard. Hope it is sooooon as I am ready to be back in direct patient care. I miss our patients, but I love the extra $$ I have been earning so it will work out in the long run. I don't really even know what my job is, but it is a secured job, and I like it, and I get to work with all my favorite people still, so it works out.

Mike's sister had her baby girl last month. We are so happy she is healthy, and her family is complete. :) New babies rock! I was so thrilled that we had reconciled, and we were able to be such a big part of her life leading up to the birth. We had great fun preparing for her arrival, and unbeknownst to me, at the last minute, I got to be a birth coach! Ya-hoo! Being there with her husband, and him and I each holding a leg was single handily one of the BEST things that has EVER happened to me in my life. Seeing a baby be born, right in front of your eyes to someone who you equally love is great. Just great! I am living vicariously through her, and we are enjoying this new addition so much. We are done having our own, so it is just nice to have a niece, and get to hand her back. :)

The same day that the baby was born, we got a call from our vet about our golden, Livie. They found some questionable tumors on her after getting her yearly bloodwork back..(our vet does a 6 month check up where they do a head to toe exam for about 6 hours, and then they call us in and go over everything..like a physical would be for you and me, only they wait for bloodwork to come back before releasing the pet back to you.) It is a fantastic service, and I love it. Well, that day was incredible with the birth of baby girl, and then to be called into the office to be told some very dark and grim news that the new doggy most likely had cancer was devastating. She has a tumor on her hiney. Literally. And her blood calcium was highly elevated. So...we were told it probably is, and we needed to talk to the rescue and have time to deal with it. We took her back there 2 weeks later, and had some biopsies done. We were ready to deal with it head on, and go down that path again, and lucky for her, and for us, the dr was wrong, and she was extremely happy to be wrong. :) We still need to watch this tumor to be sure it doesn't get out of control. If it grows fast, it could mean that it is cancer, but it probably isn't. She will need surgery eventually, but not now. :) We are blessed. With the rain, there is lots of sunshine, and there is new growth all around. At least that is what I am saying each day.
