Happy Birthday, Matthew!

My little guy is now six, and I am just as always shocked. Where does the time go? And why is that question always so popular? lol.

..................Matthew, I hope that you enjoy your birthday and one day when you are reading this blog because your mom finally got it put into a book, you will understand just how special I believe you are. You and I have our "tiffs" about things, and we might not always see eye to eye on some things..but if you only knew how incredibly smart your dad and I believe you are, you would know why mom has to be strict at times. I want the world for you. I see so many good things happening for you, and I just know that you will go on and grow up to be this incredible human being. You are lovable, you are likeable, you are intelligent, you are just everything to me. I could go on and on about how incredible we believe you are.

Mom goes all out on parties for you kids because I never had parties as a kid. Sure Nana wanted us to have parties, but we could never afford it. I don't ever want you to have to feel the pinch like we did growing up as kids. If there is one thing I CAN do for you, it is to plan a great party for you to enjoy, and now that this is your first year with a ton of kids coming from your class, I hope that you will be able to remember how much fun you had, and how cool it was that all of your friends wanted to come, and they wanted to come, because they wanted to see YOU.

I love you so much, and so does your Dad. He had the best time with you today when it was just you two together. Daddy's love their sons just as much as Mommy's do.
