I want to report some AWESOME news. Mom decided to take a trip to the unemployment office yesterday. They looked up her claim and said, "Well we show you just stopped claiming" and she told them it was because her cancer, and it wouldn't have been right for her to claim while she was getting treatment. They looked a few things over, and since she has been actively looking for work, they gave her 3 more months of unemployment! It is like our prayers have been answered. I am so very happy for her. She has such a huge weight lifted off her shoulders now.
Unbeknownst to her, I entered her into a local radio contest where they gift people that are in need. They do a daily gifting starting on December 6th, and some of the things in the past they have gifted a cord of wood, or paid a heating bill, or gave gift cards. I really hope that she gets picked! I wrote her a nice little work up on the history of her and the cancer, so I hope that the powers at be see her story and pick her. It would really surprise her, and make her year!
