Mom…..

I realize I have been neglecting my blog, but one person that hasn’t been neglected is mom. She has her surgery scheduled this coming Tuesday. They are going to take her one breast, and she may or may not have reconstruction later. Trying to not be overly nervous, (for reals!) I have been pretty cool about it actually.

But knowing that it is coming up closer and closer, and the fact that older sister came to visit her (“just in case” she says) makes me a little more nervous than I would like to be. Lord, please be with her, and guide her surgeon’s hands in the right way. Please lay your hands on all of the staff that will be taking care of my mom. Please heal her, internally, and externally. She is an amazing mother, and an even better grandmother. She and Kate have been extra close lately, and I want that bond and relationship to have more time to flourish.
