Of relief that the wedding of the year is over with. All the stress, and the sweat, and tears, and the hard work put in by MANY has finally come to an end. Starting last Wednesday, it was non stop chaos, and by Sunday morning, (the day of) I was ready to just say to heck with it. Michelle had no idea what was going on at any moment, and many of us were left trying to figure out what to do, and how to keep on time. I think by the time we made it to the venue, we were walking down the aisle about 30 minutes past. Which really isn't that bad..I was about 30 minutes late for mine too. The wedding was beautiful. It poured rain all day the day of the rehearsal, and then the morning of, it was raining buckets and buckets all at once. We were doing the stealth operation of moving her with 3 umbrellas over her at all times. When it came to walking down the aisle, the skies cleared open, and the sun shined. :) YAY!
Katelynn decided she wasn't going to have anything to do with walking down the aisle during the rehearsal, so for the actual ceremony, Matthew pulled her down in a wagon. It was so damned adorable. I was so proud of my little man. When she could see me finally in her field of vision, she yelled, "MOMMA!!!" it was so adorable, and made everyone awwwwww and giggle. I was so over the moon in love with my kids at that moment.
What a long, long weekend, and then I had to be up at 530 the next morning...too early. I can't wait to see all of the professional pics, and the actual video. I sweated over the toast..the TOAST! OMG! I woke up in a cold sweat several times before the wedding thinking of what I was going to say. I went after the Best Man. He stumbled. I think he said about 5 times, "What a beautiful couple they make" gigggle. I didn't feel so bad then..he musta been sweating it too. When he handed me the mic, I kinda froze...but the words flowed, and the tears started at the head table, so I knew I had nailed it. ;) Shew!! Mike said it was great, now dangit, let me see the video! hahahaha!
There were several funny things that happened..one being Dylan (my nephew) being sent home right after the wedding to go to sleep since he was tired. Uh, WHAAT? He had to dance with his mom for their special dance, and then they had to do things together as a family..so it was like a stealth operation getting him back there...but it all worked out in the end. And what took 5 days to set up the wedding site was taken down in about 2 hours. Amazing.
I had a dream this morning that my sister in law called me to say she was pregnant. The first words out of my mouth were not congrats, but were: "I am NOT planning your baby shower." guess if I am already dreaming about it, I must feel pretty strongly about it, huh? LOL! NEVER AGAIN...not for a long time will I do another wedding. I just can't. It was lovely, but the stress is not worth it. And Mike and I thought we wanted a vow renewal somewhat soon? I am gonna rethink it. LOL!
