Really feeling the love.....

Happy Anniversary, Mr. Griswold..ok, Mike. :)

10 years ago, we were married at a lovely hotel that has since been torn down and now stands a Best Buy. LOL!

It was a really beautiful ceremony, and we had a lot of love going on there. We watched the video last night and I just fell in love with him even more if it is possible.

We both had to work today on our day off, but that was ok. He totally surprised me. We met at home around the same time, and I was in the bathroom when he came home, touching up my makeup. I came out to a very beautiful flower arrangement. He always surprises me with flowers when I least expect them. Beautiful colors, (he got our wedding colors) and then we went and had an awesome patio lunch at one of our mexican joints here.

Our plan is to take off after we feed the kids lunch tomorrow and we are going to check into a hotel that is about 2 hours south of us where we plan on having a blast at the casino, taking in some nightlife entertainment, and maybe enjoy the pool. We will see. Part of me is THRILLED to just be able to sleep in a huge bed without worrying about getting up at 6-7 the next day to feed kids breakfast.

Well, tonight his phone rings, and the lady on the phone asks for me. Rather than him asking who it was, he just said, "it's for you." I said hello? "Hi Heather, this is so and so, and I am calling from massage xyz to confirm your couples massage for tomorrow." I asked her again who she was as I thought I heard her wrong, and she repeats herself. I say, "Um, I guess I am just a but stumped as I didn't book a massage..." and just at that moment Mike grabs the phone out of my hands and he looks like he is about to cry. Yep. They called HIS phone to confirm my name for OUR massage. I thought this was his way of surprising me by doing it this way, and I gotta say, I was feeling pretty dang surprised. He on the otherhand, had many plans about how he was going to take me right before we got to the hotel...I had to assure him that it was a HUGE surprise no matter what, and I am still stoked! 90 minutes for the both of us...sigh. I cannot wait! He was all worried we weren't going to do anything BIG like a get-away tropical, or somewhere more than a day, and I am thinking this is a pretty DAMN good way to spend our 10 year anniversary, doncha think?
