This weekend...

FLEW by! Friday we had everyone over for some BBQ, games and drinks. Everyone came, including mom. We had an incredible time, (Me...a little tooo much!) but it was so fun, and well worth it. The kids were up till just after midnight. OYE! So yesterday morning came a bit too early since Matt doesn't know the difference of being up too late. He came into my room and I told him politely that he needed to go back to bed since he was up late, and he walked into the guest room and told Aunt Dee that "Mommy was so rude to me, she told me to go back to bed! Doesn't she realize what time it is?" LMAOOOO!

Yesterday we kinda just chilled. I went and got my hair done, went to the shelters and looked for kitties, and then had another late night getting kids to bed. OYE Of course today was going to be the day for disaster! I should mention that we had to go take Kate yesterday to get some of her vaccines repeated since there was a voluntary "recall" what have you on some of her shots that she has already got. They think that the fridge temps weren't running as cool as they should have been so they sent letters to most everyone in the city that they thought would be affected by this. Of course Kate was, but Matthew wasn't. There are pros and cons to this. Pro's: you realize having a 5 year old how many dang shots he has received since birth would be a bit of a disaster to redo from the beginning. Um, no thanks! Cons: Kate is the statistical child they refer to on the back of those vaccine handouts what to look for after a shot. She breaks out, gets high fevers, gets diarrhea..all of the "Yay,I can't wait to go through that again" stuff. So she got 3 yesterday, and will get more in September along with her 2 year shots. Fun. She did okay too, just so far had a spiked fever last night, sore legs, and is better today. Shew! I guess it was only on certain vaccines given since about 2008.

Mom cut her hair at my house today. It went really, really well. I am thrilled for her to be able get a hairstyle that she likes. Sad to see her pretty long red hair go, but it will be back. It will be back.
