I can't believe I haven't been able to update in about 2 weeks. Weird! I still don't have my laptop back, even though today was supposed to be the arrival date of HP shipping it back to me. (I am not at all surprised) I can update from Mike's computer, but I have also just been busy in general with school. It is officially finals now, and this week is major study week as they all start Tuesday of next week-right after a supposed be relaxing Labor Day Weekend. Yeah right! LOL!
Mike and I celebrated our 9th anniversary over the weekend..we took the kids to the state fair on Saturday, and then went to a movie on Sunday. We went and watched The Hangover. It was pretty dang funny, and can't wait to own it once it comes out on dvd. We did take away Olive Garden last night, and I made mussels to go with dinner. They turned out sooo good. Have to say though-won't probably make them again. I love seafood, but there was a lot of cleaning involved in making these, that well, spending that much one on one time with them, kind of started to make me ill. Some things are better just ordered when you don't know what all has to be done with them to get them to the point of eating them. hee hee...
Katelynn is doing great. She is eating more and more all of the time. She hasn't said anything new yet, and that is fine. She is gaining more confidence in her step, and is moving around the house quicker all of the time.
Matthew had a blast at the fair. As soon as we went in, he wanted to ride "the big wheel" as he put it. It was a Ferris wheel, but you sit in buckets, rather than in seats that go round and round. Have to admit..it made me very nervous. I just have always felt really uneasy about carny rides..too much putting them up, and taking them back down that freaks me out. He was abit nervous once it started to go round and round, and so was I. But I wasn't allowed to admit so-let's be real! I had to "pretend" we were having a grand time on it, even though I was thinking, isn't it over yet? And it was pretty much the same way I felt about the other rides we went on. He was brave enough though to do the Tilt-A-Whirl, The Octopus, (even though initially, he screamed to be let off. Later, he said he wanted to try it again. I was proud that he wanted to conquer his fears!) His all time favorite ride was the Scrambler. I love it too. He rode it twice, both times, arms high in the air. I love that kid. I will try to get some pics up. It was a great weekend. Next weekend is the last camping trip of the season..is supposed to rain. Oh well. We will make the most of it.
