Well Check.

Katie had her 9 month well check today. Yay for no shots! She weighs 17 lbs, 3 oz, and she is 28.25 inches long. We didn't get to see her normal, cutie-patootie ped, he was sick, so we saw another doc in the practice. He said from what he read from her chart, and her history, she is doing great. He had no qualms at all about her development. He said she was right on track for the things she is supposed to be doing. She now can get on her knees, and she rocks back and forth..something that she couldn't do at all a couple of weeks ago. She even turns onto her belly so she can slide down our bed..a big no-no in my opinion, but I can remember Matthew doing that too. It just means that once she does it, (it is a far drop to the floor!) she is going to want to keep doing it over and over.
He said she had the slightest of a heart murmur..to be honest, I had forgot about the murmur. I just always think of the major parts of her heart, the ones we worry a lot about..so when he said he could hardly even hear the murmur, that made me pretty happy.

All in all, great appointment, and we don't come back till she is ONE! yikes! LOL! I can't believe it..yes, I say it over and over, but I really can't get over the fact that it is coming up so dang fast.

She can say Dadda, Mamma, bye-bye, and hi. Next I am teaching her doggy. She says goggy or gee-gee..so we are working on it. I don't know if she knows what any of these words mean, that is a different story. I know she does for sure know what bye-bye is. As soon as you say it to her, she waves, (sometimes to herself) and says bye-bye back..Awww so fast she has picked up on things! What a great time in our lives this is.
