Six Flags was a bust..

It was soo dang busy there yesterday, and it was sooo hot! I think we were only able to ride about 5-6 rides each. That isn't normal at all for us. We normally go and are able to get on each and every ride. Add the major heat element to it, and it made for a pretty miserable afternoon. Once I was able to get on a water ride, it was a lot better, and every one's morals were more calm, and ready to keep on trying. Being at a theme park at night is pretty cool though! Mike and I took the Roaring Rapids ride in the dark, and it was pretty fun! We also rode Terminator Salvation, and boy did that not disappoint. The lines were so long. We first rode X2, and we must have waited in line for at least 2 hours. The grandma's were not very happy with us, but that was quickly redeemed once they were able to get on some rides themselves.

We took Matthew on his first "big" coaster, and he rode it twice. He screamed so loud, I couldn't tell if he actually liked it, or if he was scared. He LOVED it! He was like, "I wanna ride it again, and I don't want to wait in line, either!" Soo much fun to do things like this with your son. I can't wait to take him on Space Mountain!

We didn't get to see many characters, but the ones we did see, Kate LOVED them! OMG! It was so fun to see her interact with them. My kids have always loved the characters, and it is so nice to see them want to go up and dance with them, and interact. I got some good pics of her and I with them..I plan to get all of the pics so far up, once we are in a more permanent stay.

We check out today, and head to LA. I am ready for a place that allows us to completely unpack. It is so hard living out of bags when it comes to kids. Plus, the Marriott has a full kitchen, a yard to play in, nice pool, so it will feel so much better to have the better amenities. The Hilton where we are now is pretty nice, it just doesn't have that homey feel to it like the Marriott does.

We planned on going to Hollywood today to see the stars. We have been watching CNN all morning, and we can see there is quite the crowd at Michael Jackson's star on Hollywood's Walk Of Fame. Hopefully it won't be too crowded, and we can catch a glimpse of his star, and other people's.

After that, the plan is to go to Santa Monica..I don't know how far we will get as we are soo tired! I am ready for the cooler temps of LA though..supposed to be like 82 degrees, vs the 100 (or so it felt) like it was here yesterday.

GAH that is why I'm so reluctant to take the kids to any theme parks. No way no how would Logan ever stay in line that long. It stinks. But it sounds like you guys are having a grand time so far. Can't wait to see the pics.
