I am so tired. I haven't been sleeping but 2 hour intervals at night, and not getting any naps during the day. She has been waking every 2 hours to eat, and then it takes an hour to get her resettled in, and we sleep and the cycle starts over again.
The week is only going to continue this way too since I have appointments tomorrow and the next day. I tried to lay down late this afternoon and the phone rang 4-5 times, all reminders about my appointments the next couple of days. Geesh!
My dad and older sister drove up for a visit today. It was his first time seeing Katelynn in person. He brought along his wife, and a friend. It was an unusual visit as they only stayed for about an hour and a half..maybe it was longer. They drove 4 hours to get here, and then just like that, they were ready to go home. Weird. My sister would have stayed, but she had hitched a ride with him, so she had to go as well.
Been trying to think of what we are going to do for Thanksgiving. We have been invited down to the ranch where Mike's uncle and aunt live, we are just so unsure on how it will work out with both kids. We would stay for the full Thanksgiving weekend, and I just don't know how it will all work out caring for such a young one and a different person's house. I want to go since it will be awhile before this part of our family will be together, and I would love to see Mike's cousin's baby since we have only seen pics of her, I just am sweating the whole thing about staying the long weekend. I am sure once it gets closer, we will have the kinks worked out better.
Other than that, it was a relatively low key day. I didn't get a shower, so I am counting the minutes until Mike gets home so I can make a clean break for it and dive in.
I got another half smile today out of Katelynn..I just can't believe how much she has changed in the few weeks we have been home. She is discovering her hands lately too. It is so much fun to watch her play with her fingers while her hands are in the air. I love it!
