We are home!

And it feels so nice. I am just in heaven. I feel so much better too..not completely better of course, but there has been a pretty big weight lifted off of me. I am trying really hard to not get sad at things that keep popping in my mind, and with time, hopefully I will be at 100% again.

The discharge took a long time to get out of there, but I can see why. They want to make sure that you are coming home with everything that you need to know and what to expect.

Once we got on the road, it was smooth sailing. The traffic was bad at times, and then we had to use a rest stop to clean her little booty, but all was well when I saw our exit and we just sailed the rest of the way.

Once we got ready for bed, I started to think of what we would do..I guess I never thought about that part of it all. I have had nurses taking care of her everynight now, and I would go back to the RM House to sleep while they watched her all night long.
She did pretty good though, and so did we. I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to hear her if she woke (she still doesn't have her full voice from her surgery) but all was good, we heard her all night long.

Today we had her follow up weight check and to also check on her incision with her new pediatrician. He is a really nice guy, and we were really impressed with him. He said the same about her incision looking okay and as long as she lets us touch all around it without showing signs of pain or discomfort, she should be fine. He is concerned about her weight so we are having to wake her every two hours to feed her so that she can pick some up soon. She has no problem with that. She loves to wake up and eat!

Will post some pics tomorrow..my hand is still crapping out on me and I am trying to rest it. Also, I am wanting to nap when she naps so that I can get some help with rest.

Ta-ta!!
