Went wrong with my plan on going to the hospital last night after Mike. #1. I took my pain pills on schedule like I was supposed to, not thinking about the label where it says, "Do not take these and operate a vehicle or heavy machinery." #2. I can't drive after having a c-section so soon. Oops! So he was a doll and drove me over and picked me back up later with a very tired Matthew in the backseat..
When Mike went to see her, he was asked if he wanted to feed her and of course he did..so they bring him a bottle of formula and he questions them on it and they say that all of my milk is gone. WHAT?? I personally carried over 6 full bottles of milk to the nicu yesterday and there was no way she drank all of it within 4-6 hours.
So the first thing I ask when I get there is how is she doing on milk, and they tell me the same thing..then I tell them the same thing that I carried over a bucket of it and that the charge nurse told me that she had found a couple of bottles from me from when Katelynn was in the nicu before..blah blah blah...
Needless to say, she came back to tell me she found them. I was soo worried I did all of the pumping for nothing.
As soon as Katelynn saw me last night, and I picked her up, she spit out her binky an started to eat her hands..LOL! I guess she knows who I am! So the nurse said to go ahead and try to bf her even though she just ate so that we can get more practice and she went to town. It was so cute!
I only stayed for about an hour and a half..I was falling asleep and so was she. I asked when we would know when she is going to get to come home and the nurse said she would find out today and let us know.
I called this morning to check on her and she is going good. The nurse said that her leg is looking better now, and not so much swollen. The downside is her incision is looking goopy so she needs to have the doctor check it out to see what is going on with it. Darnit! It was looking so good too! I hope that it clears up!
When I was there last night, they said that they would try to put her in clothes today. I can give them the clothes I brought for her, but they suggested that I let them dress her as clothes have a tendency of getting lost..so they are going to try to dress her in things that they have..but now with this back incision problem, it may not be likely.
Will update later.
