So.....

Just talked to my sister in law..her and my mother in law took my father in law up to Portland to be checked out and they are admitting him. I didn't get too many details. From what the doctors can tell, and what they have told them so far is that his liver is failing.
We knew this was coming, so it isn't really a big shock. He had started to get pretty sick again, and my mil told me the last few weeks have been hard on him. His tummy has ballooned, and it s rock hard, and he is slightly yellow. She has been pretty stressed out..but they couldn't get in any sooner as his doc was on vacation.
I think we have come to terms that Be-bah has been sick for a long time, and I know personally I have had time to get all of the yucky thoughts out of the way, and just move to the next step, whether it means dialysis, or if it is too bad for that, then hospice. The cancer is back, and it is just aggressive. Yes we had a great ride when we found out the huge tumor was gone, but we knew that it just doesn't go away just like that.
Sorry if this post is coming off that I am being too harsh, or not emotional enough, but I think we have just thought about all of the what ifs already, and we are ready for the new game plan.
So the deal is they are hoping that he is going to stay admitted through at least Friday so that I can drive my mil up there after work to get him since it is too far of a drive for her to make on her own...if they only take him overnight, it is going to be really hard on her to drive back up to work tomorrow, and then have to be back at work by 7am the next day..will keep this updated. We are saying tons of prayers tonight that we get some good solid answers.
