How a cold can knock you out flat on your butt in a 5 hour window. I came home from work fine as can be. No signs of a cold at all. By 6 pm, I had a lump in the back of my throat, and by 9pm, it was full on sinus blockage. Matt too. Me thinks that we caught some nasty ol virus from being crammed in together tight as sardines at graduation. Kate had a fever all day yesterday and into this afternoon. She has been coughing lots and lots, and she was FINE on Saturday. No coughs, no phlegm, no sneezes...and now she is a miserable little toot. Boooo to the nasty colds!
I actually tried calling out today to keep her home, and was told in a nutshell no. HA! Yet I get to be called in every day (practically) when I am off to cover others. Hmmmmmpppptt! LOL! It ended up being okay, and her fever broke (or so it appears since she hasn't had any meds since 10am)
Here is hoping that this cold will be long forgotten by next week. At least for Kate. I worry about her and colds and sniffles. And I don't want any more xrays for her! Last when we were at the ER the dr there said that the more xrays she gets now, the risk for thyroid cancer later in life increases. Me no likey that!
