to be 5!! Booooo where has the time gone? Why do I now have a little, or should I say BIG boy? Did I do everything right to get him to this point? Does he know that in between all of that yucky disciplining, that Mommy and Daddy are just trying to carve him into a kind human being that will be liked by many? Will he need to see a shrink when he is older? LOL! These are the thoughts that consume my mind. He is fascinating, he is smart as a whip..he can show you how anything that is electronic works. I can now show him how to do something once, and he retains it, and does so well with being self sufficient...most of the time, anyways. (I can't let him do everything, because, then...I want to be his mommy still, and not Mom)
Yet Matthew is very emotional. He can cry at the drop of a dime if things aren't going his way, or if he can't seem to figure something out. He is filled with a lot of emotions, and I find myself still walking on egg shells with him when it comes to what his reaction will be if I tell him something he might not like to hear. I worry about that too since I don't think it will be very appropriate for him to have tantrums as an adult.
He is sooo good with his sister at times though. When she is sad, or is having a hard time, he is the first to go say, "Awww Katie-bug, are you okay? Don't be sad, here, have this...(insert him giving her a random toy) or he loves to go hug on her, and kiss her too..he is very affectionate with her, and it makes us beam with love for him.
I got all of his party stuff coming from online since Party City won't ship to us here in our state. I went there yesterday to just buy it all in person, yet they don't stock Wubbzy stuff. Matthew said, "It's okay, we can just do Spongebob instead" bless his heart trying to be agreeable. I told him mommy can still try to find it online, and asked what he really wanted in his heart, and he said Wubbzy. So, wubbzy it is...I figure this is his last year having a kiddie themed party, I want him to be able to choose what we are doing. I love that little man!

heather party city online is reasonable and they ship super fast. I got Drake's there and then I got an edible image for his cake off ebay.
Hope...I had gone there first, but they wont ship to our state, no ifs ands or buts..I went to the store in our city to see if they would just ship to store, and they called and asked and they flat out said no. I guess my state is doing something to piss them off. Isn't that the weirdest thing you ever heard of? I ended up going with birthday express since they had free shipping and a coupon code. It is making me rethink being excited to have a party city in our town.
That is crazy! I wonder why?
I know..weird. I even just got a free shipping email from them, and I think it is just total BS!
