I am really hoping to not jinx anything, but Matthew is on the mend! He hasn't had a fever since 3 pm yesterday. My sweet little guy is getting better! He sooo badly wants to go to the park, but is settling with being able to play playdoh right now. He is still pretty congested, but he is smiling, he is laughing, he is EATING! YAY!
Kate had a pretty miserable night last night, but so far she is getting some much needed rest today. She spiked the scariest of fevers last night, and took her until 4am to calm down from it and finally pass out and go to sleep between daddy and I. She is also pretty congested, and has a plugged nose, so she has to adapt to breathing from her mouth, something she absolutely hates. Thankfully she is sleeping peacefully in her swing, with the humidifier near her.
It is sunshiney outside, and the windows are open!
I want to thank Jesus for answering my prayers. I had been so mad that Matthew was so sick, and I was thinking such negative thoughts about why he has to go through this, but our prayers have been answered, and my outlook has been redefined again. I had felt like we were forgotten, and I have to remember that isn't the case in life..people have to go through certain things to be strong. At least Matthew will never get this exact virus again...his body is strong!
