Starting to sink in a little..

That I don't have school tomorrow!! Yipppppie!

We put our tree up, or I should say 3 trees up. We do the big tree that has all of the ornaments from years past, I like to call it our "kitchy" tree. I heart that tree. Every year it is such a blast to pull out the ornaments for that specific tree, and reminisce of years past when you got this ornament, or that one. sigh...I love Christmas and everything it represents in a child.

We then have the purple tree..just lots of purple ornaments on it, since purple is my fav color. It is a green tree, just a lot of purple accents, and this is the one that the unbreakable ornaments are on as it goes into a very congested part of the house. We also have the small tree..it is about 2 ft tall. We normally put that on the bar, but I folded it down this year to make room, so we decided to "kid it up" and we put it in Matt's room after he had gone to bed..he was pretty excited to see it when he woke up. :)

We also finished putting the lights up outside..I would love to share pics, but I don't seem to know how to take pics at night without them looking blurry?? I have tried over and over and they just turn out so crummy! I will keep trying though.

Besides that, we just finished cleaning up inside today, then Matthew went to Nana's house to dig in her yard since he didn't want to go to Target with us..we went and had a late lunch and then just cruised the aisles at Target..it wasn't long before we decided we needed to go get our Matthew and finish our night. We got home, Matt watched part of a movie, and then we played Wheel of Fortune. :) We ended the weekend with me singing "lullabies" to Matt. I think he is missing everything that comes with being a toddler, and not so much being a boy. I have to remind myself that being a kid is just as stressful as being an adult. They have their own stressors too, and I have been trying to help him adjust to his stressors..he had started to kick the wall, or smack things, so we are trying to teach him better ways of handling himself. I pray that this is only a phase..it has to be, right?

I am going to enjoy the rest of the night..we went and rented The Ugly Truth. It looks so good!
