About the way it all went down. Mike called them today, and talked to our guy, and he said that he put our order through, and it got denied, and he said he "tried calling us multiple times, but our phone kept saying, out of range." fishy. So, he said after trying for a few days to get "ahold" of us, he had no choice but to let the head department build us this one. Don't get me wrong, it is a LOVELY, pretty, pretty laptop. I do like it very much, it works beautifully, and is lightning fast..did I mention it is pretty? So, I am "okay" with having it, it is Mike that is pissed off about it.
They did throw in an extra battery, which is what? Worth 80.00 on their site? Oh, and I got an extra service plan, worth more $$...so....I am going to have to be happy right?
The guy told Mike he has done all he can do for us, and there is no-one higher he can talk to. Mike says he is writing the company to see what we can do..but I don't know that it is going to get him anywhere, ya know? Laptops only last 2-3 years before something new and better comes along, and we all know that there will be deals to be had in a couple of years on a brand spanking new one..so I tried to just assure him that when we are ready to start from scratch again, we will get the one of our dreams, and then that will be it..It has to, right? LOL! I am just happy I am going to be able to do my medical transcribing now. I was pretty stressed. I will take very good care of this baby too...no lugging it everywhere with me. I am not going to let anything happen to it..not that I did to the other one, I just don't want any reason to have to send it to them for repair. Ever, again. It is too much for someone to go through.
Until then..I am going to continue to use this pretty machine..and enjoy it because it has been a long time coming that I have been without my baby!
