Major Milestone Day!

Kate has been conquering milestones left and right the last couple of days. Today as we were laying in bed in the morning, she was sitting up in between Mike and I and clapped her hands for the first time. I couldn't believe my eyes! Matthew was standing right there, and I asked him if he saw what I saw, and we had the best laugh over that. I don't even know if K realized what she was doing, but it was too adorable!

Over the weekend, she was making this movement with her hand, and I was trying to figure out what the heck she was doing, and Mike said that he was pretty sure she was trying to wave. Well, since Friday, she has been slowly perfecting it. Today, she almost surely has it down. I tried to take some video of it, but she kept doing it either before I pushed start to record, or after a long time of having the camera on her. I am so happy that she is doing things like this now! Her little backwards wave is just too cute. My mother in law and sister in law came over tonight and she did it for them. They got a good laugh over it.

Now we are working on her standing. She rolls everywhere, but doesn't crawl, or try to pull up yet. I am not going to rush her. She will do it when she is good and ready, but you can tell she is getting the bug to certainly try. We sit at the leapfrog learning table that was Matthew's, and she stands with me behind her as her barrier for when her legs start to get tired. She has a little hunchback look to her, so I don't want to do this too long as it can't possibly be good for her. LOL! But she grunts at me if I don't let her try to stand, so we play for a little while, and then mommy makes her take a break. She is so cute, and sweet! I need to post some pics of her soon!
