I haven't been able to post as much as I normally do, and there is really no reason why. I think it is just because Kate is doing so much more now, and she is actually starting to be choosy on what Mommy gets to do in the house. LOL!
Kate now sits all on her own on the floor. She started last Saturday sitting for longer periods, and by last night, she was on the floor for at least an hour and a half, playing away with her toys. She still hasn't said that first word. I thought for sure she had said Dada a few weeks ago, but there was a binky in her mouth, so we can't say for sure.
She is finally getting over her cold. Almost 2 straight weeks of coughing that really nasty cough. I was beginning to really get worried, but she is certainly out of the woods now.
Matthew has been making himself really silly lately, making his sister laugh. He does such a great job of wanting her to smile, and you can tell he truly loves her.
Yesterday when Matthew left for daycare, he was half-way out the door when he said, "Mommy, don't miss me too much!" I laughed so hard that he said that. Obviously, he had heard that before, so he knew exactly what he was saying. Hilarious, and CUTE!
He also has started to turn down chores. When you tell him to clean his toys/room, he says, "But Mommy, I don't like to clean, it is BORING!" Yah..it is...you think I like to clean? Heck no! He says, "Yes you do!" Um.no! Thanks, though!
I did manage to get him to clean his whole room tonight, and he did such a great job. I had him call daddy and leave a voice mail for him telling him that he cleaned his room, and that it made mommy very happy. I didn't coach him on what to say, either. He was so happy he made me happy doing his chores. I was in there delegating where things needed to go, and he kept saying, "So this isn't that boring anymore!"
I love that kid.
