Blowing out candles, and the Easter bunny.

Well, it took Matthew a whole hour or so to find his Easter basket that was sitting in plain sight in teh kitchen. I asked him if the Easter bunny had come to our house, and he thought that the EB left the basket outside the front door like St. Nick leaves treats, so I guess that was my fault. LOL..
Needless to say, he was pretty overjoyed at his basket of treats, and pretty much gobbled up the jelly beans and little malt balls right away. He tore into his chocolate bunny too, and got tired of it before he could finish the ears. Thank goodness too! HA!

After awhile, I decided to give him his balloons, and I have never seen him smile so big! What a happy little guy!

The party went off great. It went way longer than I had wanted it to, but that is totally fine. He did great with waiting on his presents, and him and Dylan actually shared toys and had a great time together. It was a good thing to see for a change!

When it came time to blow out his candles, he just was so dang cute! He sang right along with everyone during the birthday song, and he even included his name when we got to the name part. I was worried he would blow all of the sand out of Pablo's sandbox since I didn't think that part out very well, and I had tried to blow some sugar off his cake earlier, and a ton of "sand" (crushed animal crackers) blew everywhere. He had so much control though, and I don't think any of it flew. Great job!

Matthew got some really great gifts too. I mean, all of his presents were really thought out and just awesome. He got a puppy that swims, a bowling game, a view master, yard toys from my mom..tons of bubble stuff...just really awesome things that he really appreciates. I am so glad we waited to get him a digital camera as he is sooo into it now, and my sister got one, and he just is so into it now. He took a ton of pics with it, and we uploaded them and had a great time looking at the world from his point of view.

The next post will be a picture post.

We are so very blessed. He said thank you to everyone, and thanked everyone for coming. What a great little guy.
