Leaps and Bounds..

It has been almost a whole week since I posted last. Time flies! This past week has been full of so many milestones for little Katie-Bug. I want to type them all out so I can eventually transfer them to that baby book..

She now eats cereal every night. About 2-2.5 oz of formula mixed with her rice cereal. She gobbles, and gobbles it up so good. She smacks and smacks for it. I love to feed her.

She said her first babble word yesterday..sounded like "may-may." No..I don't think she was trying to say mamma at all, if that is what you are thinking. It was more of a babble, like she was just shouting at something. It was totally cute! Today she tried to say it again, and is laughing differently than she was a couple of days ago. She is starting to use the tongue in her mouth to make different sounds. Must be from eating? Maybe?

She can now "sit" in her boppy on the floor, or on the sofa, vs lay in it. She hates to lay down at all anymore, and wants to sit like a big girl, because that is where all of the action is going on. I do wrap a blankie around her waist before sitting her with the boppy around her for added support, but she is loving it!

Today while holding her, I was eating a really crunchy apple. She was staring me down big time. Once I was finished, I let her lick the core to see if she would like it, and she attacked it! LOL! She was all over it like white on rice. She was lunging for it, and yelling at me to hold it for her so she could "munch" on it. OOh what fun it is with her. I love seeing her try things for the very first time. I feel like I missed so much with Matthew. I was busy, back at work, and now I have my afternoons to just live through this again, and it is the best feeling in the world!

Last but not least, she is grabbing everything, and holding on to things more than just a few seconds. She holds interest in things for quite a while now. She will hold my phone and study it, and plays with the roller ball on it, pushes the buttons..it is like night and day from what she was doing last week. What fun! I will post some pics in a bit..that is if mozilla is cooperating with me. IE is giving me a heck of a time now, so I have had to go to firefox..
