Man! Things have been crazy around here the last couple of days. My mom went home Wednesday after watching Katelynn, and then called me a few hours later to say that she hurt her toe pretty bad from slamming her foot accidentally into her coffee table. I asked if it hurt, and she said it was just numb, but that it looked funny. She had her neighbors take her to the emergency room since my sister was borrowing her car, and it turns out, she broke her toe! She had it reset, taped, and was sent on her way, and when she was over yesterday, I looked at it, and couldn't believe it! Her whole foot is black from being so bruised. Crazy! I hope that she heals quickly.
Yesterday, Sadie was texting me that she wasn't feeling good, and hadn't felt good since Tuesday. Said her belly was giving her problems, and couldn't rest, or couldn't eat anything. She thought it might be her gallbladder, so she made an appointment for (today at 1pm) A couple of hours pass, and she texts me that she is in the ER and that they are admitting her for surgery! Holy cow! She has a very enlarged liver, a lesion on her kidney, her gallbladder is FULL of stones, and she has a blockage somewhere else, that they need to take a scope down into her belly to find. Poor thing! She said her bilirubin levels were off the charts, and that her urine was not the normal color. So..as of midnight last night, she was in a room, and was waiting on the surgeon. They let her baby stay with her, and brought in a bassinet from maternity for her. I thought that was great of them to be so accommodating. She is supposed to have surgery today, sometime this afternoon, and should be home by Sunday at the very earliest. I just can't believe how sick she was, and IS! Get well soon, Sadie! We love you!
Mike is like...nobody, I mean, nobody better get hurt this weekend..LOL! Yeah, I hope so too!
