The SNOW!

That is what the caption was on the paper today. Okay, or something like that. Evidently, 40 years ago today, there was a weather report to watch out for 2-3 inches on the valley floor. Well, the snow had other plans. It snowed, then snowed, then snowed. What was to be 2-3 inches turned into 3 feet of snow in a matter of 3 days of snow that wouldn't stop coming down. I just can't fathom good 'ol Springtucky (no that is not my real town's name) getting pounded with that much snow. It was such an amazing thing that the paper today gave it the front page, along with 2 more full pages on the story inside. Pretty neat stuff for a town that is used to just seeing the white stuff for a day or 3 max, then saying good-bye till maybe next year if we are lucky..

So Mike just comes in from taking out the trash and says, "It's snowing!"

I look at him, raise an eyebrow and ask.."Do you think we will get 3 feet, or just 3 flakes?"

He thinks at least a scattering. I am excited to see what happens by morning, although I am betting there won't be snow out there. It is just a bit too late in the month for snow now. Or am I wrong?

Wouldn't that be something if it happened again!
