To my little sweetie! Where does the time go? I can't believe it has been 4 months already. I am such a proud momma! We have had such a grand time bonding together. Tonight she woke up from a nap on the sofa, and as soon as she opened her eyes and saw me sitting next to her, she smiled so big. I am happy that she feels so secure when she opens her eyes. I have really, really enjoyed this time with her, and will never forget it. I realize I am a really lucky mommy to not have to go right back to work after having a baby..some moms don't even get time off, others get a few weeks to 3 months. I realized that I have had almost 5 months off, including time before I had her. I can't believe it has been almost half of a year since I left school. Time flies! Before I know it, she will be a year old. So not fair!
Katelynn now almost breastfeeds exclusively. I can honestly say it feels so good to not be attached to my pump/s 24/7. I used to pump at least 8-10 times a day. For the last week or two, we have slowly gone down to 4, sometimes 5 times a day. Hopefully in the next month or so, I will only be pumping early in the morning before school, and maybe when I get home so that she continues to have my milk while I am away. I am very proud of myself for not backing down, and continuing to commit to not giving up. :) I have a very nice freezer stash for her to at least carry her through her 6 month mark, so if we end then, then fine. I feel really happy that I did this for her.

Happy 4 months!
And good for you for working so hard at pumping. It totally sucks (no pun intended) but its so worth it in the end.
