I finally have an appointment for Katelynn to go see the ENT, and Mike is questioning me as to why I booked the appointment since her voice is back. I don't know. I mean..wouldn't you still want a specialist to look at things to be 100% certain that she is okay, and there are not going to be any long term effects? I just feel that she should be looked at for reassurance I suppose. I mean, her voice is 100% back, so that is the part that is making me question myself. Oy! I hate that I have to trek her all of the way back to the hospital up there for them to just say that she is fine..(which I am pretty sure that is what they are going to say) but I guess I just also want to be sure, and know that things really are fine. What if her voice goes away suddenly out of nowhere? I don't know if that could logically happen, but I have all of these what if's in the back of my mind. I try to talk to him about it and he said that whatever I want to do is fine, but he really thinks that she doesn't necessarily need to go.
We go the middle of next month and I have time I suppose to weigh this on my mind a but more if I need to.
Matthew has been great all week long. No time outs at all. I really hope that he continues to do well. He is coming down with a cold though. I heard him coughing quite a bit after I put him to bed, and had to go in and check on him a couple of times. He wanted some water..and by the time he finally drifted off it was close to 11pm. Yikes! Daddy has to be to work early tomorrow so let's hope that he cooperates in the morning or else it is going to be a sticky day. I think we outa lay low this weekend and make sure that we don't go too many places for him to get too worn out. The good thing is that he will be over the worst of it by Christmas if it gets worse than what it is now. I hope!

H, isn't that a hard one? I would do it though, if you have the insurance to cover the appt., do it now. As a mommy, it's our job to worry about the "what-ifs" ...it's how we roll! I hope she's fine, too..but better to catch something now as opposed to later!
Sorry about Matthew..poor little guy. It's so sad when they get sick. Fingers crossed for you all!
