OMG. They are so yummy! It was so hard. Okay, not that hard..but I wanted them so badly to look like hers, and well..they don't. But that is okay. This was my first attempt at many.
I took some pictures of all of the steps, and then the final product. I think I will use less icing next time as the pop sticks wanted to slide through the tops when I did the top layer of "icing." I had to do a lot of mending of some of the pops to make them look okay, rather than in distress. LOL! I had bought a 12 oz can of frosting, not realizing that the recipe called for a 16 oz can. So I had to scoop more frosting from an additional can, and that is where I think I screwed up.
I broke the pop sticks in half to get more mileage out of them. I figured they were going to be single use sticks, so why have them be so long? I wish I would have gone further up with the dark chocolate too, rather than having so much pink chocolate, but it was fun, and it was an afternoon baking event, so that was fun for me to attempt. I would never be able to get away with trying this out had Mike not been home to help tend to the kids.
