That is of what we are hearing from Katelynn's mouth. I would say that she most likely has her voice back 100%, but there is still her strange noises she makes while breathing occasionally that are limiting us from saying she is completely healed.
I mentioned last week that I thought I heard a stronger cry from her, and look how it has only been a week since that post, and she is so much stronger now. I can't believe I am going to say this but- I can almost not remember what it sounded like before, it is such a difference.
Now here is the funny thing. She knows she has it back, and is totally using it to her advantage. I didn't have a crier before, but I sure do now. LOL! I will take it though. If it means she is able to be more verbal with me now, so be it. It doesn't mean she is an unhappy baby..but things didn't bug her before like if her binky fell out of her mouth, she just would whimper a little bit. Now when it falls out, she cries for it. I like that she is more verbal with me, it does make it nice for her to be able to coo alot more when she wants to. She was "talking" up a storm last night with Daddy. Just cooing away as he was tucking her in for the night. It is nice to have her back. We will still go see the ENT to be sure that she didn't suffer any other problems, but to know that she is doing this good now is very promising.
I woke up last night with a cold. I don't know how bad it is going to get. I knew it was coming as I started to feel ill on Friday night, but then it subsided, so I just played it off as being tired. The same thing happened again on Saturday night, but again just blew it off. Well it was in full force last night for sure when I woke, and I have been coughing out crud ever since. Katelynn didn't want to nap by herself today so it made it a bit hard to get rest. I tried getting her to lay with me so she could sleep too, but she only wanted 20 minute capnaps here and there. Lucky for me, Mike came home early on break and took her as soon as he walked in the door and I snoozed on the sofa the rest of the afternoon. Awww. It helped so much.
Hopefully it won't be a horrid cold, and it will go away soon. I don't want to be sick for long. Ack!
