She did great!

We went for Katelynn's weight check today and she went from 7 lbs, 5 oz on Friday to 7 lbs, 13 oz today. Not bad at all for 4 days! He wants to see her again next Tuesday to make sure she is back at her birth weight and then he said that we can stop timing her feeds and just go with the flow of things. I am so happy she gained those 7 oz! Good girl!
While I was at there, (my ob is upstairs) I popped up there and asked if she could look at my incision..I really was just going to make an appointment and they said she would just see me today. She took off my steri strips and said that it looked great. I wasn't having any problems with it since I had been home, it was that Portland was calling me to remind me it needed to be looked up as a followup. Once I got home, I got brave enough to look in the mirror, and I am so glad I did! It does look nice! You can't even really tell..which is weird to me because my prior scar was so blatantly obvious, I hated it. It puckered towards the corners and I always was self conscious about it. It looks like they just went right over the last scar and then closed it up very, very nicely. They did a great job!
Katelynn also had her PKU test done today..I had to pay out of pocket for the card for the test..irk! Portland was supposed to send me with one, and they must have forgot so..I had to buy her card test, and it was over 30.00. WOW! I wasn't prepared for that, but at least it is done now.
I am tired today. I didn't get that mid morning nap with her like I have been since she got home from the hospital and I can really feel it. I am going to try to snooze on the sofa for a minute before Matthew gets home..
