Reality Check..

No not me..Matthew! He needs a reality check and fast. Ever since I went to get him this evening, he has been in rare form.
I tried to get him to put on his shoes at daycare, and he ran all over the house from me and was adamant that he wasn't going to go with me. First of all..why can't the kids just be all ready when we come to get them? I have a lineup of cars behind me and I am inside chasing my kid to get his shoes on. It was worse last week when he was wearing socks and his sneakers..so I changed up things and said he needed to wear his crocks this week..same thing. Ugh..I appreciate she has a no shoes rule in the house, but it can be frustrating when I have to instantly discipline him upon seeing him for the first time all day.

Then we go through the drive thru market for some milk and so I could get a tea. He is shouting from the back "Get me a drink too!" I turn around and tell him we ask for things politely, not in a demanding way. So he said he was sorry and asked if he could please get a drink too..so I got him a fruit punch..the switch flips as soon as he sees her hand it to me and he is screaming for his drink NOWWWWWWWW! **shakes head.***

We get home and he is telling me how much he ***needs*** a popsicle. Yeah right you do! Tears pour down his face as I know it must have been life or death for him to get that treat.. I told him after dinner, and that he had to be a good boy since he wasn't showing me any manners since getting him tonight.

Then it came time for dinner..I wanted to go easy tonight and so I did mac and cheese and green beans..God forbid the mac and cheese take longer than a minute to cook. I came into the living room while it was cooking and he says.."HEY! Gimme my mac and cheese!!"

Jaw drop. Where is my son, and who is this impostor?? I got a few more "I'm sorry's" and he is happily eating as I type. Goodness sakes! I feel like he was replaced with a teenager overnight. I hope that once he goes to bed I have a different boy tomorrow! I have no idea what happened to cause this..but it needs to stop!

I think Logan and Matthew were living parallel lives! Tonight he climbed on the counter and I said "you need to get down" and he says "I NEEEED to look at this closer".

Smarty pants! GRRRRR

Oh man, Heather! I can completely relate to you! My little man has been just as demanding and losing all his politeness! What's up with this???? Hopefully it's a short phase!
