On how to sleep well, that is. I re-read Nights in Rodanthe last night. Instead of going to bed, I went in my room to read for just a little while, and well..the little while turned into about 4am. I started to read late, but Mike was up watching tv in the living room, and I thought I would just read until he came to bed, but by then, I was a good part into the book already so I just kept reading while he snoozed beside me.
This book is so good! It is a fast read, so I was able to finish it last night, but man was I crying and crying in parts of it. It is such a great story, and he writes so romantically, (is that a word?) it just reels you in, and you feel like you are right there in the book with the characters. I have to go see the movie now. I didn't and couldn't wait to read this book like I had planned in the hospital. It was laying on top of my suitcase and just had to grab it and read it. I am so glad I did.
But getting back to things..by the time I was done reading, it was 4am and I went to bed, and then didn't get up until about 8:15. Matthew didn't come wake us up until about 10 minutes later, so he obviously needed the little extra bit of rest too. I didn't get up but maybe once to go to the bathroom between 4-8, so I actually feel more rested than trying to go to bed around 11, and then having to get up all night long to go to the bathroom.
Maybe I will read another book this evening? I probably could..I haven't read forever. I used to read all of the time before I had Matthew. I would get some really great books and just soak into them..that all stopped when I became a mom as it does to so many other mommy's..but it felt so nice to sit there in peace just reading page after page. It will be a very long time before I can read again, so I think I might just take in as much as I can, while I can.
