We took the day very, very easy. I cleaned and even managed a nap in there! WOW! Mike took Matthew out and about later on this afternoon so that he could sleep in the car and get some rest himself. The swelling is finally starting to go down. I can see a glimpse of what Matthew's eye used to look like, and it is slowly coming back. Still wish I knew what the heck he got in his eye. I will probably never ever take him to Shopko again..or if I do, we won't allow him in the cart. I honestly don't think he picked up anything from the salon. He would have had a reaction much faster than that, and it took about 20 minutes to get to the store from the salon. And you could see the white welt on his face, as if he wiped something wet on his eye that was chemical based..he had to of got it from the shopping cart, but how Mike and I didn't get effected by it, we have no idea. It is just crazy how it all happened.
I think tomorrow we will see a much bigger improvement.
Mike did such a great job today. He started to clean out the garage so that we can start bringing out all of the items we want to sell in a couple of weeks. I sorted every last bit of Matthew's old clothing into piles of prices that I hope to get for each item, and then bagged everything. I have 6 huge garbage bags of clothes I am hoping we can sell at least enough to make a dent out of and then the rest I will give to my sister in law for my nephew, or donate.
Matthew only has one tote of keepsake clothing that I just refused to part with. Of course his coming home from the hospital outfit is in there, but so are certain outfits that meant alot to me, or that I splurged on..his crown from his first birthday party is in there..just cutesy things I can show him as he gets older so that he can see what he wore, or maybe he will want someday.
The house is really starting to take shape, and look organized. I cleared out my closet, and you can actually walk into our walk in closet for a change. For the longest time it has been the catch all to shopping bags that we just put in there, or toys that end up in our room get shoved in there..now we need to trim the clothes we aren't using and get rid of those too. I am going to buy myself a whole new wardrobe once I am done with school. I will be wearing scrubs 24/7, but I don't want to wear the same ol clothes I have been wearing for ages. I need new stuff!
Hopefully by the end of this month we will be all finished with organizing and then we can just look forward to getting the baby's room all finished and just look forward to her arrival!
