Already Sunday?

How does time go by this fast?
We took the dogs to the vet's all day yesterday to get the deep cleaning done on their teeth, and when we went to pick them up, I have never seen them so out of it before. I was pretty worried about Maddie. She just couldn't get out of the funk of being under medication. She just pretty much laid there all night and we had to lift her from the sofa to the floor, and Mike said that he had to carry her outside to go potty last night. Not very easy to do when she weighs about 75 lbs. Riley seemed to bounce back alot better, and that was unexpected. He is overweight and more of a sluggish doggy so I expected him to be the one out of it. He was ready to eat when he got home and wanted to walk around the house all over.
Maddie is better today, but she just wants to lay around mostly. She did get up on her own to go potty and happily ate her breakfast, but has since retreated to the sofa. I think she just wants to lounge all day. We need to get this kid out of the house because he doesn't seem to understand that the dogs need peace and quiet, and they aren't up to being chased all over the place.
The best part out of all of this is they both have the whitest teeth ever. I am so jealous. Riley had been nicknamed "stank-breath" because it was just horrible, and now you can't even smell his breath. It is pretty amazing the difference it makes. He is going to be getting so much attention at the beach in a few days!

While they were at the vet's we decided to drive up to Portland for the day and head to Ikea..That was fun! We made a few stops along the way at baby stores, but I didn't find anything I needed, or wanted. Maybe it was because it was 98 degrees outside and just miserable. I was about to die!
We stopped for ice cream at Baskin Robbins in the mall and shared some ice cream with Matthew. It was the first time we had ever sat in a food court with him to where he sat in his own chair and we all had such great conversation. He was such a joy yesterday! He had a blast walking through the mall and he is so fascinated with elevators and escalators. He calls elevators "alligators" So all night last night he said he wanted to ride in the alligator again. He was so funny!
We finally picked up his dresser from Ikea, but we couldn't get his bed since Daddy was insistent on bringing the Prius and not my car. There was no way that bed was going to fit even strapped to the roof of his car, so another drive up is due in a couple of weeks.
So today we plan on cleaning out the office and just relaxing here and there. Should be a good day!
