I know that the pic isn't the greatest of pics, but what do you expect from a cell phone camera in a dark venue hall?
My love affair with Rob Thomas may just have to be put on hold for the time being.
I have just returned from the O.A.R. concert, and be still my heart. Boy, can Marc Roberg sing. And he sings, and he sings. He just was excellent to watch. You know how you fall in love with a band, and then you watch them on the tv doing a live performance and you are like "Wth happened? They sound NOTHING like the cd I have been playing over and over, so much, that I need a new copy?"
Yeah..O.A.R. does NOT disappoint. They sound even better live, if that is even a possibility. I haven't rocked out that hard, danced, sung my heart out, screamed and acted like a teenager since..well, I was a teenager! My ears are ringing, my feet are killing me, and it was totally worth it.
Thank you Mike for telling me to take my sister "cause you'd have more fun if you went with her"...I luv you! It was yes, so much fun to go with her. I would have loved it had he went, but there is nothing like being able to be a kid again with your sister in tow and just rock out, and enjoy each other's company.
The cool thing they have now as souvenirs is you are able to buy a usb bracelet of that exact concert you just watched and bring it home. That is what helped make this band so dang popular. By sharing their shows with the public, it brought them more attention, and gained a bigger following of fans. They have been around since 1996, and were Ohio and Maryland's best kept secret. Thank goodness they went mainstream so that we all can enjoy them. Now I just have to insert my special doo dad into my computer, and let Mike watch the show. He didn't have to go..he will be able to see it right from home. How cool is that?
sigh. I will never forget tonight. What a wonderful night it was. I didn't get to meet the band or anything like that..but we were pretty fairly close in the audience. That was all that mattered.
