Continuing with the holiday festivities..

I finally made it out of the house today, and ALONE. I wanted to get the last minute groceries that we were going to need for the long weekend, and I found one of those gingerbread house kits on sale. I looked at it, but put it down. I remember doing one of these before. It took all night, and I wasn't up for another all night long project. Then I started to think about how fun it would be for Matthew and I to do tonight when Daddy was at work, and went back and grabbed it.

Boy, was Matthew stoked to see the kit on the counter when we got home. He instantly wanted to build the house and I told him he'd have to wait until Katelynn fell back asleep and then for the next hour he kept asking, "Is she asleep yet, is she asleep yet?" Too funny!

So...I am not good at these, I will be honest with you. Again, it was a fun thing for us both to do. The best part was it really only took an hour or so. Of course Matthew wanted to dive in and eat it all as soon as he could. I had to keep him away from a lot of the candy. He amazed me though. At one point, he got down and disappeared, and when I went to find him, he was in the bathroom brushing his teeth! Very good BOY! Anyways...here are some pics. If you aren't a fan of a child with a messy face, look away. I don't mind him having a messy face every once in awhile..especially when we are having so much fun doing a project. Now if we are out in public...
I chuckle when I see my try at the windows. They are so pitiful! They look like a shack! I am so embarrassed how they look. But what matters is that Matthew and I had fun making it.

Looks good to me! I've always been way to chicken to try one.
