Man I could not have asked for a better day today. We had a family get together in bed today..lots of cuddling, lots of junkie tv, doughnuts and yogurt..mmmmm! LOL!
Then we slowly all got ready for the day..I started to straighten up a bit..I had semi switched around the living room last night, and got in serious trouble from Michael for doing so without his help..no worries though. All I did was slide things on the wood floor. No lifting was involved at all! I swear! Anyways, so since I did that last night, it inspired Mike to finally clean out the closet that was his old computer room so we could hang all of the dresses for Katie, and store her stuff in there.
We made a long trip to Walmart..(can you believe we were there for 2 hours? It so didn't seem like that at all..) Mike got some storage cabinets for all of his geeky techy stuff..then we got a call from my mom. She said that she was missing Matthew something fierce and could he please come over and visit her. I about dropped dead right there..but happily obliged her and took him over there. She asked to keep him for a couple of hours and we looked at eachother and said, "OK!!!"
So then we hightailed it to Chili's and had a really great lunch together. We NEVER go anywhere that isn't a drive through together on a weekend..I mean, we don't even really do that, but to take a child to a restaurant with a menu and a server is just not in our cards. We just don't do it. Too many mishaps happen when we try.
As we were getting ready to ask for take home boxes, Mike just happened to see his friend there, and he had become a manager recently..well so when we got our bill, it had been reduced for half off! Woot!!
So now we are home..We came back and cleaned some more..Mike is organizing everything, I am resting. I can't believe it is only Saturday and the house looks this great. I have to do homework tomorrow and it feels nice knowing I don't have a messy house hanging over my head. What a perfect day!
